Alternative Minimum Tax Delay Exposes Republican Priorities

Another year has gone by without the Republicans managing to retool the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT). Bill Frist says the delay is necessary to focus on extending tax cuts on dividends and capital gains, but this does not have to be an "either-or" issue. If the Republicans cared enough about tax cuts, they would have completed both measures in 2005.

Didn’t we send all of those Republicans to Congress to reduce taxes? What is taking them so long?
